LITERACY

 Literacy has a very important relationship with the development of speech and language development in children. Following comprehensive assessment, we can devise a tailored therapy program to target the skills that your child requires support in further developing. Areas that may require intervention include:

· Phonological awareness: The breakdown of words into individual sounds and understanding of how sounds can be manipulated to form different words. This includes rhyming, alliteration, segmenting words.

· Spelling skills (including rules and patterns)

· Reading fluency (including accuracy, rate, and prosody)

· Reading comprehension:  Understanding and interpreting the meaning of different text  forms

· Narrative Skills: Planning and constructing various texts/stories
